... Keep your faith alive
The General Overseer of Fountain of Treasures Assembly, Akute, Apostle Austin Peters has prophesied that Nigeria has a great destiny that is about to explode and is already on the Threshhold of greatness.
Apostle Peters during his message on Sunday 20th August titled "Keeping Faith Alive", drew his inference from the book of Matthew 14:22-31 "Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”.
He encouraged Nigerians to keep their faiths alive in the face of their sufferings, economic downturn and insecurity, while he opined that God is reworking the destiny of the country for good.
Apostle Peters further said that had Peter maintained the initial faith he had when he beckoned to walk on the water to Jesus, he would have gotten to Him safely. The tribulations of the sea distracted him hence he couldn't accomplish that destiny.
"Be encouraged in the Lord, this country will be great again, remain focused in whatever good and legitimate you're doing for your daily bread as the Lord has spoken to me that He is changing the destiny of this great country for good. Brethren, don't be discouraged with what you see around you today, trust that the Lord who kept you alive has your destiny and future in mind". He said
The FOTA Senior Pastor however said that no matter what we go through now, those of us who remained steadfast in the Lord and has faith in the rising of this country will eat the fruit of the land.
He said though he is not discouraging those who are inclined to travel abroad (japa), but he is bringing message of hope to those who believe in the destiny of this land that Nigeria will be great again. Job 19:25 "For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth."
