3 months ago will climax in a three-day world conference, led by the ministry’s head from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25, 2024, in Ngor Okpala, Imo State.
Addressing the media at the Zion ground on Saturday, August 17, 2024,the ministry highlighted the significance of the conference, stating, “This marks the first time our annual conference will be held outside Lagos. The 100-day fasting is a spiritual journey, fostering a deeper connection with God and facilitating personal transformation.”
It was explained that the fast is a period of acknowledging sins, seeking forgiveness like the prodigal son in the Bible and denying oneself of worldly desires, such as food and luxuries. They emphasised the importance of forgiveness as its the bedrock of a true and genuine Christian Christian virtue.
The ministry enjoined members and non-members worldwide to join the Zion Movement in this transformative spiritual experience which they described as the one that will open up Ngor Okpala to the world.
It was also revealed that the ministry has acquired 21,000 plots of land in Ngor Okpala to accommodate the expected large crowd to attend this year’s programme.
Additionally, massive constructions are going on at the site which will house hospitals, universities, and destitute homes which will in turn contribute to the nation’s economic development.
Adequate security has been put in place throughout the 3 days and the Governor of the State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, who is also elated at the prospect of such magnitude of a programme coming to his State has assured comprehensive security networks, before, during and after the programme.
The ministry also hinted about their intention to build a old age home through a Foundation that will be catering for the aged.
